Activities of Gift Star Expressions

We are suppliers of gifts such as flowers, food and baby hampers, chocolates, wines, (outside of the UAE), cakes and balloons through a network of international suppliers. We supply the UAE market from our own offices in Dubai, where we pack and make up all hampers, upon receipt of order, on site. We also perform corporate packing and presentation of items for promotion.

Returns and Refunds

Gift Star Expressions endeavours to supply high quality items and will entertain any complaints referred to us. We require that you inform us of any complaint within 7 days of the delivery date of your order. No complaints will be valid after this period. After a decision is made on the validity of the complaint, in consultations with our agents where necessary, we will either refund or replace the item in question.

Transaction Currency

All transactions are performed in UAE Dirham.

Delivery Policy

• We endeavour to deliver all our orders at the time requested.  However, in some cases this is not possible and we will contact the sender to inform them and get further instructions.
• Deliveries of the selected items can only be delivered to the countries as listed on the web site.
• Delivery costs are included in the listed prices unless mentioned in the Country/Item category.
• Delivery lead times must be checked on the Country/Category sections as these can vary substantially.
• There is an additional delivery charge for all items in the UAE on a Friday.
• Gift Star Expressions employs their own delivery staff for the Dubai area. For the other Emirates we contract a courier service to execute these deliveries.
• For all other countries we have appointed agents who deliver on our behalf.

Credit Card

As always, consumers making purchases must have a valid credit card, be at least 18 years of age or older, and have a good credit standing.

Should any client choose to place their order telephonically, they are required to fax to us a copy of both sides of their credit card which must be duly authorised by the signatory of the card. 
 
Security Capabilities and policy for transmission of payment card details

Gift Star Expressions is committed to protecting our customers' privacy. We feel it is important that you fully understand the terms and conditions under which we use the information we gather from you through our website. We will never share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Policy.  
 
We may contract with third-party companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, distribution, data management, promotional services, etc. ("Service Providers"). We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.

A secure and authorised e-commerce gateway is provided by Mashreq Bank.  For credit card transactions, your information is secured by using 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which encrypts information you input.

Your credit card details are sent directly to Gift Star Expressions payment provider, Mashreq Bank,Dubai, over a secure SSL-encrypted connections. They are not processed on our servers at any stage of the transaction.  The payments are deposited by Gift Star Expressions authorised customer service staff. Other Gift Star Expressions employees do not have access to Mashreq Bank Payment Systems transaction management system.  This is only valid for products ordered directly from Gift Star Expressions website.

Placing an Order Online

 
When you place an order, we require you to provide us with Personal Information. We use this information to give you a customized experience and to process the orders that you place with us.  
 
For your shopping convenience, when you place an order, we automatically establish your own Personal Account where information used in placing such order (including billing address, email address, and telephone number is saved. Your Personal Account is password protected from third parties. You may access your Personal Account by requesting your password from us (go to My Account) and then signing in with that password. Afterward, you may change your password, edit your Personal Information or request a password reminder at any time. Our database stores your billing and delivery information, and will automatically transfer it to the order form each time you place an order so that you do not have to re-enter this information when you sign in at subsequent visits.  
 
The recipient details are required to execute your order and the phone number, which you furnish to us when you place an order, is used for delivery purposes. On some occasions, the recipient may be called to schedule delivery. To maintain our high quality standards, we will occasionally contact recipients to ensure satisfaction with their gift.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices and content of these third-party Web sites. You access such linked sites at your own risk. By shopping at our Site or opening an account with us, you consent to the use of your Personally Identifiable Information by us in the manner specified in this Policy. We, however, have the option to change, modify, or add to the terms and conditions of the Policy at any time. We will inform you of any changes by posting the revised Policy on our Sites. Any customer who does not agree to the revised Policy has the option to opt-out. The Policy will go into effect on the date posted. The new Policy will apply to all current and past users of our Site and will replace any prior policies.
